Preparing our products using both the freeze drying and dehydration methods not only reduces the weight and prolongs shelf life, but also locks in all of the nutrients needed to keep an active body fueled and ready for the next adventure. In addition, we go the extra distance to ensure your safety by subjecting all of our meat products to a daily inspection process performed by a USDA inspector.
We want our customers to enjoy our creations at their peak freshness. Although shelf life varies, most items will stay fresh for about two years; items including nuts, seeds, or dairy last slightly less time. If you are not planning to use our products right away, we recommend storing them below room temperature. We do not recommend our food for long-term storage.
Backpacker's Pantry packaged reduce cooking time by allowing rehydration of meals before cooking. Just add water, mix thorougly and zip the top closed. No-Cook items only require boiling water. Just add required amount and stir!
