Protective insect Nets give the user peace of mind and protection where disease infecting insects are prevalent.

Mosquitoes are found all over the world with the exception of Antarctica. These two-winged insects belong to the order Diptera. Members of the genera Anopheles, Culex and Aedes are the most commonly responsible for bites in humans.

Only the female mosquitos bite. Male mosquitoes feed primarily on the nectar of flowers, but the females require a meal of blood to produce eggs.

Worldwide, mosquitoes transmit various diseases to more than 700,000,000 people annually and will be responsible for the deaths of 1 out of every 17 people currently alive.

Malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever, epidemic polyarthritis, and several forms of encephalitis may be passed from one infected person to another via the bites of the Mosquito. According to reports from the World Health Organization, Malaria causes as many as 3,000,000 deaths annually.

Mosquitoes use visual, thermal and olfactory stimuli to locate a host. Movement and the wearing of dark coloured clothing act as attractants. Your breath serves as a long-range attractant since Carbon Dioxide, released mainly from your breath as well as your skin, can be detected by mosquitoes at great distances. At close range, skin temperature, moisture and even floral fragrances from perfumes, lotions, soaps and hair-care products also serve to entice mosquitoes.
