Coghlan's Do-it-Yourself Snap Fastener Kit includes everything you need to add or replace snap fastener. Ideal for many do-it-yourself camping gear applications such as tent trailers, boat covers, tents, curtains, and awnings.
Kit contains 8 sets nickel-plated screw-in stud to canvas fasteners, flaring took and setting base.
Instructions
1. Drill hole (1/8" dia.) in hard surface. Install screw and stud (use philips head screwdriver).
2. Punch hole (5/32" dia.) in the material, just large enough to accommodate the tube on the button. Put the rounded side of the button (with material in place) in the smooth cavity of the setting base. The base should be on a work bench or other solid surface. Insert the socket, flat side down, over the tube and material.
3. Place the flaring tool over the socket. Firmly hammer the top of the flaring tool to set button. Insure the flaring tool is held straight, perpendicular to the base.
4. Snap to screw stud inserted in step one.
