The Homogenization of the Cream is different than standard milk. The Milk is homogenized at 1500 PSI where the Cream is ran at 300 PSI the reason behind this is it is so heavy that this is the best way to run it without adding unnecessary stabilizers and, Gossner Milk does not put a 10 month or year pull date on it because of this to homogenize this product more would break down the milk fat so much that it would not whip up as thick or as well. For this reason we cannot supply Whipping Cream or Half and Half with the 10 month expiration date. Please be advised that not all products will have a 10 pull date, that is only the pull date from day run in the factory. Most will be between 7-10 months. Whipping Cream & Half and Half are 3-6 month.
Of course, in our and the manufacturers experience, these items can last years beyond their dates and make a great emergency preparedness product

Gossner milk is packaged in a sterile environment and is good to use and drink even if the product has passed expiration. This carton is completely bacteria free until it is opened. If carton is maintained un-opened even passed expiration date there is no bacteria to make the milk sour and spoil. Once opened the product should be consumed within 5 days. I personal have opened milk close to a year out of date and had no idea other than what was written on the carton. The flavor was the same quality I would come to expect from Gossner Foods Inc. I have had this with both the white milk and the flavored milk as well.
