Wild Cards are designed to be used by themselves or in conjunction with Linda Runyon's book Wild Foods Guide Book. WARNING: When foraging, if in doubt, do not eat it.

The Edible Wild Food Cards are intended to be used as an educational tool to promote well-being. The cards contain material that might be invaluable in dealing with a sudden emergency or an unexpected "survival situation" when knowledge of edible wild plants could be life saving. Shade area on maps indicates where plants are found.
Warning: Identification and use of wild plants requires particular care and attention. Some individuals may be allergic to or react adversely to certain plants. The author and publisher assume no responsibility whatsoever for any adverse effect encountered by the individual. If in doubt, don't eat it.
Edible Wild Food Cards contain playing card suit marks on the face of each card. When using deck for playing card games, backs of cards should be concealed with balm of your hand, and card pile on table covered with paper or cloth to avoid identification.

EDIBLE: fruit (berry)
CHARACTERISTICS: Many varieties, from low shrubs to high bushes. Fruit is blue and clusters in groups of 2 to 10. (Huckleberry often grows near blueberry; edible fruit looks similar but has stony pit and tart taste).
USES: Source of vitamin C. Fruit: Eat raw. Make jellies, jams, syrups, juices, wines. Freeze. Dry until it rattles.
HINTS: Dry a few berries and chew slowly and thoroughly to aid control of diarrhea.

We can get most of our items out the same day and use next day air and get it to you tomorrow, but you need to call before 2:00 Eastern time.
