My folks have passed away, the gang has scattered, but Beverly Sausage remains the same. I loved it then and I love it now. Thanks for keeping this fine product the same for all these years”.

Boone Brands located in Sanford, North Carolina traces its heritage back to the pre-World War II era and the Patterson family. Sanford knew the Patterson’s as hard working people with an interest in serving the local community. The Patterson’s Grocery Store and Patterson’s Meat Packing Company in Sanford were well known throughout the area.
The war ended and consumers wanted more convenience. Patterson’s redirected their focus and used their meat packing expertise and grocery knowledge to develop the first canned hot dog chili sauce in the region. Patterson’s insisted on the highest quality at a value price. Patterson’s Hot Dog Chili Sauce 8 oz. was developed and canned in Sanford with the first ingredient listed as beef. Patterson’s Beef Hot Dog Chili soon became a local favorite. Retail grocery store distribution was gained in North and South Carolina.
The grocery supermarket industry grew and stores became more sophisticated. Patterson’s Meat Packing Company exited the meat processing business in the 1970’s. Patterson’s Hot Dog Chili Sauce stayed true to its original recipe promoting great taste at a fair price. Transition over the past years has included the purchase of several brands.
In 2015 the company changed its name to Boone Brands. The Patterson’s brand is now a part of the Boone Brands family of products. These additional brands now include Patterson’s, Mrs. Fearnow’s, Texas Tailgate, Rose, Beverly, Harold’s, Hilton’s and Harris.
Sanford, North Carolina is still the home for all Boone Brands products. Boone Brands production facility is at the same address now for the past 40 years. The production facility has recently been certified at a SQF2 rating receiving an excellent rating. Each Boone Brands product is made with the highest quality standards for premium quality. Jerry L. Burke: I have enjoyed you Beverly Bulk Sausage since I was just a kid . My father introduced me to it 30+ years ago and I have done the same, introduced it to my 4 boys and they love it. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hayden Lutterloh: Have enjoyed your Patterson Brand since the Patterson's were active - and still enjoy it. Glad you added some of the other brands, including Mrs. Fearnow's. When not in the mood or not having enough time to make "homemade" this is the next best thing. Glad you are still local to Lee County.
Terry: Thank you for making it possible for my family to enjoy your Texas Tailgate Chili Sauce. My friends told me it was on the shelf at Food Lion. By the time I got there it was almost gone. Lucky me, I got 6 cans. It is a Real Winner!!!
Loree Allen: Dear Bost Owner, My Father-in-law and his twin brother, both love your potted meat! Please understand this is a really big deal, as they both are extremely picky eaters!! My Father-in-law has always bragged about how great your brand is and how much better than all the other brands it is for as long as I have known him (22 years). He recently shared how disappointed he is to learn that you all will no longer make it. He seems to have exhausted all avenues to aquire any remaining cans as well. I am hoping you can help us help him. Do you have a recipe to share so we can make it for him at home? We would love to make it for the two of them to continue to enjoy! They would be so ticked to continue this life's pleasure! I greatly appreciate your time and help!! Thank you. Sincerely, Loree Allen
Loree Allen: Hello!! My Father-in-law and his twin brother, both, rave about your Rose Potted Meat and always have as long as I have known them (22years). Recently they were soooo deeply disappointed to learn you were no longer making or selling it. Their search for remaining supplies seems to be exhausted too. They have always bragged about how much better Rose's brand is over the competitors, and this is a big deal since they both are extremely picky eaters!! Thus, we are hoping you might help us help them to continue to enjoy it! Do you have a recipe to share, for it, that we can make at home? We would greatly appreciate your help!!!! We know they will be so ecstatic to continue enjoying this treat!!!! Thank you very much! Loree Allen

Michael: I am so happy to see this hit the shelves. My favorite chili brand is no longer being produced. After trying every brand out there, I was ready to give up but figured 1 more shot. As I am looking at brands trying to figure out which crappy chili not to buy, I came across this amazing Texas Tailgate Chili Sauce. OMG, we have found heaven in a can again! As I walked in the house, I could not wait for dinner. I opened a can and to my amazement it's exactly what I had been missing. Rich color, great texture and taste was perfect even eaten cold. THANK you for bringing this to our store shelves. "Heaven IN a Can" !!!!
Chris Covington: Good day to you all. Just wanted to THANK YOU for carrying on the Mrs. Fearnow's Brunswick Stew!!! I am from Richmond VA and have lived in SC for 30 years now------I still get to buy it!!!!! Fact is that I grew up eating it - at home, camping trips, vacations (when we took our camping stove in the cheap living days). This is a great product and great brand - just like my Aunt Louise used to make it in Emporia, VA. Signed- LOYAL CUSTOME

I will never be without it as long as you sell it. Please sell it in the Food Lion at the Franklinton, N.C. store. Thank you for this wonderful product.

Paul Spencer: Have not been able to find Mrs. Fearnow's Brunswick Stew in the Richmond Va area for months. Why this isn't distributed nationwide I'll never understand but to stop making it entirely? Bring back the stew!!!

Sharon Barnett: I have been fixing your Delicious Brunswick Stew with Chicken for years. I had moved from a state that sold it to a state that used to sell it. I have to buy online now. It took me a while but I found it. Anyway, there used to be a recipe printed on the inside label. Any way of getting that on here or back on the inside label? We just love it.
Supplier's Note On Shelf Life
Canned long shelf life food has a shelf life of at least two years from the date of processing. Canned food retains its safety and nutritional value well beyond two years making it the perfect survival food, but it may have some variation in quality, such as a change of color and texture. Canning is a high-heat process that renders the food commercially sterile. Food safety is not an issue in products kept on the shelf or in the pantry for long periods of time. In fact, canned long shelf life food has an almost indefinite shelf life at moderate temperatures (75 F and below). Canned food as old as 100 years has been found in sunken ships and it is still microbiologically safe! We don't recommend keeping canned food for 100 years, but if the can is intact, not dented or bulging, it is edible and perfect for your survival food pantry.
Canned food labels have tendency to peel off over time, especially if they are kept for years in your basement. In order to prevent this, put a coat of shellac over the label as soon as you get them. This way, you will always know what's in the can years later.

- This is a very good breakfast food. I grew up eating this in Olivia,NC. We even had it for supper too. I can't find it in Ohio grocery stores
- I certainly won't go rushing to buy this again, but in an emergency situation I wouldn't turn it down. This stuff gets really liquid when heated, and the texture and taste both leave something to be desired. However, I found it to be tolerable when mixed with some cheese, beans and green chile sauce, then used as a chip dip.
